Why Offer Burnout Awareness Training?
- Improve quality of work life: your teams will learn to detect warning signs of declining mental health, improving overall well-being and contributing to a healthier, more positive work environment.
- Prevent mental health issues: promoting mental health starts with early detection. By acting when the first signs of distress appear, you help protect employees from worsening symptoms that can affect both personal and professional life.
- Promote your company’s social responsibility: adding burnout training to your prevention programme highlights your genuine commitment to employee well-being, ensuring your values are reflected in your daily practices.
- Reduce turnover and absenteeism: high turnover and absenteeism often signal unaddressed mental health issues. Our training promotes a healthier, more supportive environment, thus helping lower both rates.
- Strengthen your employer brand: by prioritising your team’s mental health, you show that well-being matters, enhancing your organisation's reputation and attracting skilled professionals who share your values.
Mental health training is the foundation for building resilient, people-first organisations.
Key Learning Objectives of Our Burnout Programme
Our mental health training on burnout is built around five essential learning outcomes:
- Understanding what burnout is: participants gain a clear understanding of what burnout is, where it stems from, how it manifests, and how it affects individuals in the workplace.
- Recognising weak signals: The first step in prevention is early detection. Your employees will learn to identify the subtle, early signs of burnout so they can respond before it escalates.
- Responding effectively: our training equips learners with practical tools and strategies to take action, whether by protecting their own mental health, supporting a colleague, or managing teams with prevention in mind.
- Knowing where to turn for support: your teams will know who to contact both within the organisation (HR, employee assistance programmes, health and safety committees...) and externally (GPs, therapists, or occupational health professionals...).
- Applying everyday well-being strategies: participants will leave with practical techniques to manage stress and support mental well-being in daily work life, including time management, relaxation methods, and healthy work/life balance habits.
A Three-Phase Learning Experience
Phase 1: Immersion Module
Using virtual reality, learners are immersed in a realistic environment where they step into the shoes of characters caught in the spiral of stress and burnout. This impactful scenario reveals the lived reality of burnout by showing its symptoms and emotional toll through multiple perspectives: Cécile, a manager under pressure; Lou, her son, affected by his mother’s work-related stress; and Steve, a colleague facing his own mental health challenges.
Phase 2: Educational Module
Next, learners are guided through a step-by-step breakdown of the experience. Key situations are analysed in detail, helping participants recognise early warning signs of burnout and offering clear, practical advice, whether to support colleagues or look after their own well-being. This module is a valuable opportunity to turn insight into action, providing effective tools for intervention and prevention. It also includes anonymous quizzes to assess knowledge before and after the session, offering useful insights into your company’s mental health culture while safeguarding employee confidentiality.
Phase 3: Debrief & Group Discussion
After the virtual session, participants are invited to take part in a facilitated group discussion, if they wish. This safe and supportive space allows them to share reflections, ask questions, and explore real-life situations related to burnout. Led by facilitators trained in mental health first aid, these discussions provide a secure environment to clarify uncertainties, deepen understanding, and connect the training to the realities of your workplace. Not only does this shared moment not strengthen team cohesion, but it also allows the content to be adapted to the specific needs and context of your organisation.
What Our Burnout Awareness & Prevention Training Brings to the Table
Multi-Sensory Immersion
Learners don’t hear about the risks of burnout: they see them unfold and experience how pressure can spiral out of control, trapping individuals in a vicious cycle. By immersing participants in a virtual world, the training fosters genuine emotional engagement. Our VR experiences turn experiential learning into practical insight. Reverto combines cognitive science with high-quality audio and filmmaking to create realistic, believable scenarios that leave a lasting impact.
Flexibility and Time-Saving
Our solutions are designed with the time constraints of modern workplaces in mind. Each optimised 15-minute session allows you to train your teams efficiently without disrupting the workday or sacrificing productivity. Unlike traditional methods, our VR solutions require little setup or resources, offering a practical, time-efficient, and cost-effective alternative.
Measurable Positive Impact
Every module we deliver is evaluated for real-world effectiveness. In 2023 alone, 895 participants completed our Burnout Training.
- Before the experience, only 26.0% knew how to respond. After the experience, 94.2% knew how to respond appropriately.
- Before the experience, only 42.9% could identify early warning signs. After the experience, 97.2% could recognise the early signs.
- Before the experience, only 37.0% knew who to turn to for support. After the experience, 97.2% knew where to find support.
The results speak for themselves: with the right training, your teams can identify and address burnout before it escalates, fostering a healthier workplace where people can thrive.
